As the UK experiences a burgeoning demand for locally made, artisan-crafted, quality goods and upcycled gems, The Windsor Emporium, a showcase for fresh and inspirational artistic and creative talent is bang on the national zeitgeist.  Former model, businesswoman and busy mother Jackie Couzens had the inspiration for The Windsor Emporium when she found herself at a muddy car boot sale on a cold, wet Sunday with a designer friend who needed somewhere to present her work.  Despite humble beginnings in the local church hall, four years on, the hugely popular event has outgrown two previous venues so from Sunday 2nd March, Couzens will gather 40 passionate and highly talented artists, artisans and craftspeople at the Harte & Garter Hotel opposite Windsor Castle in Berkshire, 17 miles to the west of London.

Offering original British contemporary art, unique hand-crafted and upcycled and eclectic home interiors, antiques, vintage and a plethora of beautiful hand-crafted gifts, it really is an emporium of the extraordinary.

Commenting, Couzens said: “I’m thrilled the Emporium has come this far, and has been so well supported by our wonderful exhibitors and visitors.  As well as moving to a new venue and having a new seasonal emphasis, I’ve expanded my team to include Julia Jones, a fellow Windsor businesswoman and PR who shares my passion and having her on board means we have twice the resources to find new and exciting talent.  For our first Emporium of 2014 our line-up is amazing, as well as a raft of wonderful artists, we have upcyclers, jewellers, a photographer, an interiors stylist, an author and a lady blacksmith to mention but a few!”

The first 250 visitors to the Windsor Emporium will receive an exclusive canvas tote goodie bag, complete with original spring motif by fabulous local designer and animator Anja Trampert from Runny Marmalade.

Admission into the Windsor Emporium costs just £1 which includes entry into a prize draw, where the winner will receive a £50 voucher for a meal at Bill’s restaurant, which recently opened a new branch in Windsor.

The Windsor Emporium is kindly supported by Hamptons and is proud to support local charity Vivi’s Venture.

Ever popular for its wonderful tea room, The Windsor Emporium can now provide an extra special experience with the addition of a champagne bar for visitors wanting to give themselves a little Sunday afternoon treat.

The emphasis for all 2014 Windsor Emporiums on Sundays 2nd March, 8th June, 21st September and 7th December will be seasonal and very much a not-to-be-missed diary date.  Providing a truly unique shopping experience, each event will inspire and delight.  From garden and alfresco dining ideas in June and autumnal suggestions for bringing the warmth and cosiness back into your home in September, the big Christmas Emporium will offer endless exquisite and original hand-crafted gift ideas.
