Jackdaw4 Last Ever Gig and ‘Dissecticide’ Album Launch

On June 6th Jackdaw4 will be celebrating the death of the band and perversely, the official commercial release day for their majestic new album ‘Dissecticide’, on the newly formed Nomad Records, at London’s Borderline.

Jackdaw4 is the brainchild of Willie Dowling and currently one of the UK music scenes best-kept secrets. With celebrity fans aplenty, and a plethora of people-in-the-know having revered the band’s previous albums - all of which are pertinent reminders as to why Dowling is one of the most fêted songwriters of his generation.

Taking influence from such iconic artists as XTC, The Beatles, 10CC and Jellyfish, Dowling creates instantly memorable quasi-pop master pieces, with a thoroughly modern production twist. Unique songs, laced with acute observations and character portraits.

Jackdaw4’s final curtain at the legendary Borderline is a night of celebration and sadness,  for it is a travesty that Willie Dowling and Jackdaw4 aren't household names, as their music is at times quite breath taking and amazingly accessible for such complex, yet catchy music.
